Carlo D. Colosimo, ESQ –

Kendall County Attorney

Carlo has spent the greater part of his career advocating for his clients in court.

Born in Argentina and fluent in Spanish, Mr. Colosimo currently serves as the hearing officer for the Village of Oswego for all administrative, zoning and ordinance violations. Mr. Colosimo also serves as a Mediator and Guardian ad Litem in Family Law cases.

Mr. Colosimo began his career in the 16th Judicial Circuit as a probation officer with Kane County Court Services. Mr. Colosimo has conducted numerous bench and jury trials both as a prosecutor and defense attorney. A former Captain in the United States Army, Mr. Colosimo served on active and reserve status as a Judge Advocate General handling all aspects of military law from military justice, family law and administrative issues.

Mr. Colosimo’s professional activities include positions and appointments as legal advisor for the Veterans Assistance Commission of Kendall County; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Kane and Kendall County; Board Member, C.A.S.A. Mr. Colosimo earned his B.S. in 1995 from Illinois State University. He earned his J.D. in 1999 from Northern Illinois University. He was admitted to the Illinois State Bar in 2000 and the United Stated Supreme Court Bar in 2006. He also currently services as the Ward 1 Alderman on the United City of Yorkville Council.  Mr. Colosimo also serves as Yorkville city’s Mayor Pro Temp.
